How to Check your ATL Status in FBR? (Updated-2023)

Federal Board of Revenue has published ‘’The Active Taxpayers’ List” for Tax Year 2020 on 01/03/2021 i.e. 1st March, 2021 in accordance with the provisions of Rule 81B of Income Tax Rules, 2002. ATL is published for every financial year on 1st March next year showing ATL status and is valid up to the last day of February of the next financial year.

Who is included in ATL 2021?

ATL includes the person who have filed income tax return for tax year 2020 within the due date or the dates extended by the concerned Commissioner Inland Revenue or by FBR. Person who filed tax return after due date shall be updated in ATL immediately on deposit of surcharge.

How to Check ATL status in 2021?

ATL status of individuals can also be checked by typing message “ATL (space) 13 digits Computerized National Identity Card without dashes (CNIC)” and sending to 9966. For checking ATL status of AOP or a Company one will have to type “ATL (space) 7 digits National Tax Number (NTN)” and sending to 9966.

How much is ATL surcharge for Late Filers?

Persons who have filed income tax returns after the due date or extended dates will be required to pay a surcharge as below for inclusion in ATL.

Individuals: Rs. 1,000

AOPs: Rs. 10,000

Companies: Rs. 20,000
